Video: Gumball 2006 Start Line Footage

We thought we’d share with you some unseen footage of the 2006 event today. The footage was taken at the start line in London and shows the cars disappearing onto the first leg of the mammoth 3000 mile journey.

The 2006 rally marked a start to Gumball’s continent hoping adventures. Bored with partying on just one continent, Gumball pushed the boundries and flew participants from the UK leg out to Thailand and back to the US to finish the rally. After leaving London, the teams dashed through Vienna, Budapest and Belgrade before boarding a plane in Serbia on to Thailand.

The Thailand leg started in Phuket and ended in Bangkok before yet another flight moving both cars and drivers to the US, Salt Lake City. From here, the rally carried on to it’s end in Los Angeles after taking a breif stop in Las Vegas.
