Gumball 2011

Day 7 of the Gumball 3000! The last day today and the Gumballers got a tough one, over 1.000km from Belgrade to Istanbul with a checkpoint in Sofia (Bulgaria). Three countries, 2 border crossings and hardly any highways. Lets hope they make it to Istanbul in time for their own finish party! Day 6 of the 2011 Gumball 3000 Rally! Today the participants drive from Venice to Belgrade (Serbia) with a checkpoint in Zagreb (Croatia) just over 800km on some brand new toll roads! Last night Karsten of Team Zulu (BMW M5 Taxi) won the Betsafe poker tournament and the unique Gumball 3000 bracelet! Follow their progress at Facebook and Twitter!

Day 5 of the Gumball 3000. After an insane weekend in Monaco with the F1 Grand Prix and more VIP and boat parties than one can handle the Gumballers are now on their way to Venice. The lunch checkpoint today is at Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea! Some Gumballers are driving straight to Venice! Follow their progress at Facebook and Twitter!

As some of you already know Team 57 spun at the Circuit d’Albi race track Friday and damaged their rear wheel, today they published a video of the fatal lap and update about the damage.

The Gumball 3000 returns to France today when they drive from Barcelona to Monaco. Most teams are currently about 2 hours out of Monaco where they will stay til Monday and watch the Monaco F1 Grand Prix from the Fairmont hotel tomorrow.
