Hey Gumball Fans!

Here we go…..get ready as we’re just 20 days away from the flag dropping on Pall Mall for the 8th Gumball 3000 Rally! (Sunday 30th April – Sunday 7th May)

Starting in London and finishing 8 days later in Los Angeles…this one is just NUTS, 120 amazing cars driving 3000 miles across 3 Continents in just 8 days! Last year the crowds on route were HUGE, and this year we want even more of you to cheer us on. We’ve got more supercars, superstars and rock n’ roll parties than you can imagine!

Look out for ‘Bam Margera’ (MTV’s Viva La Bam) and Ryan Dunn (Jackass) in Bam’s purple Lamborghini that Billy Idol ‘chain-sawed’ a sun-roof into, along with skateboard legend Tony Hawk and action sports stars Mike Vallely and ‘Rooftop’ Escamilla in their Jeep, alongside MTV UK’s Jackass styled “Dirty Sanchez” in their ‘drift racing’ Nissan, next to Love Actually film star Martine McCutcheon in her pimped up Range Rover, next to ‘Goldie Lookin Chain’ in their A-Team van, next to supermodel Jodie Kidd in her supercar, next to Fast & Furious’ star Matt Schulze in his RUF Porsche, beside Freestyle MX legend Carey Hart and his pop star wife ‘Pink’ in their Bentley, alongside MX superstar Travis Pastrana in his WRX Sti Subaru; then catch a glipse of hip hop legend Snoop Dogg doing an exclusive Gumball performance at our party in Las Vegas, and look out for ‘rock god’ Lenny Kravitz as he puts pedal to the metal, next to Blink 182’s Travis Barker as they all race to cross the Rodeo Drive finish line! Hugh Hefner and his ‘Playmates’ will then be preparing champagne for all at the Playboy Mansion, where Travis Barker, DJ Am and DJ Ron ‘porn star’ Jeremy will spin the tunes as the Gumballers party the night away. Put all this together and you’ve got one hell of a crazy Gumball!

Here’s a heads up on the “checkpoints” so you can come down see the amazing cars and stars…

EUROPE (1000 miles):
Saturday 29th April:
Kicking off, we’ve got the Premiere of the “Aiya” boys Gumball film called ‘Drivin’ Me Crazy’ on Saturday 29th April here in Central London, followed by a party with ‘Goldie Lookin Chain’ performing along with guest celebrity DJs. This will be a late one!

Sunday 30th April:
This is the start day! Cars will park on “display” in Gumballs own “pit-lane” on Pall Mall (London W1, between Trafalgar Square and St. James Palace) between 1-4 PM, and the flag will drop between 4-6 PM, sending drivers en route to a Midnight checkpoint in Belgium via the Eurotunnel. “Attention all Belgian’s” to come and cheer us at Chateau de Beloeil, home to the Princes de Ligne between 10PM – 1AM! (Address: Chateau de Beloeil, rue du Chateau, 11, Beloeil, Hainaut, just 40 miles from Brussels)

Monday 1st May:
After driving thru the night they’ll be a breakfast checkpoint in Austria will be in Vienna between 6 – 10 AM at the Kursalon (centrally located with easy accessibility (U4 subway) in Vienna’s beautiful inner-city park on ohannesgasse), afetrwhich cars drive to Budapest, arriving between Midday – 4PM at the “Chain Bridge.” We want everyone in Hungary to come to see us arrive!

Tuesday 2nd May:
Lunch checkpoint in Belgrade, Serbia between 11AM – 1PM at the City Hall!

ASIA (1000 miles):
Wednesday 3rd May:
This one’s secret, so that Gumballers can relax on a “private Island!”

Thursday 4th May:
Gumballers drive from Phuket to Bangkok through the rainforest. Get yourselves to the Asian ‘finish’ line at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok between 7-10PM.

USA (1000 miles):
Friday 5th May:
After flying to the US, Gumballers get to attend the red carpet Premiere of Mission Impossible 3 at the Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah!!!

Saturday 6th May:
After collecting their cars from SLC Airport, all 120 amazing vehicles will ‘parade’ to downtown SLC to the Utah Jazz home at the Delta Centre for you all to see between 10-11AM. Then they’re all driving to the new race track outside SLC called ‘Miller Motorsports Park’ – this is a great opportunity to watch these beauties at full speed, and all we’ll also be putting on a ‘drift racing’ display!

Then get yourselves to Las Vegas to the Hard Rock Hotel that evening between 5-8PM to watch the cars arrive. That night hip hop legend ‘Snoop Dogg’ will be doing an “exclusive” Gumball performance at ‘The Joint’ inside the Hard Rock. This will be crazy!

Sunday 7th May:
After checking out Death Valley, the Gumballers will cross the finish line on the famous ‘Rodeo Drive’ in Beverly Hills at approximately 4PM. Rodeo Drive will be closed for the finish, where cars will then be parked on display until 7PM before parading to the Beverly Hilton Hotel. That night Gumballers will party with Playmates at the famous Playboy Mansion where DJ AM, Blink 182’s Travis Barker and porn star Ron Jeremy will mix the tunes for the nights party! Who will win the coveted ‘Spirit of the Gumball Trophy’ this year???

Hope to see you on the sidewalk…..in just under 3 weeks! Oh, and by the way I’ll be driving something really ridiculous!

Counting the days…

The winners of last years Gumball Enthusiast Award are back for Gumball 2006!

This year it’s not a Lotus Esprit but their Porsche Boxster that will carry them during the 3000 mile journey. Team 3ezer will be team 100 this year and is ready to have a lot of fun again!

There was a lot uncertainty surrounding Team Polizei for the last couple of months but a good source told us Alexander Roy and his crew will be back for Gumball 2006!

Alexander Roy will sadly not be back with his legendary BMW ‘Polizei’ M5. The M5 he used during the 2004 and 2005 Gumball 3000 won’t be there this year. His vehicle for 2006 will remain a secret until the start! Read more about Alex Roy or visit his website!
